HUB Team Haugen for Domaine Serene

Brokerage that understands the seven vineyards, the Clubhouse, the lounges, and the operation in Burgundy — all at once.

A Message

From Team Haugen, To Domaine Serene

Before the formalities — coverage memos, program structures, carrier matchmaking — we wanted to introduce ourselves directly. This is a brief message from Team Haugen, made specifically for Domaine Serene.

What follows is what we would build for you.

Domaine Serene

Understanding Your Operation

In 1989, Grace and Ken Evenstad settled in the Willamette Valley with a deep appreciation for the wines of Burgundy and a faith in Oregon before there was a national market for domestic Pinot Noir.

More than thirty-five years later, that faith built America's Most Awarded Winery — seven estate vineyards across the Dundee Hills, operations in Burgundy, the Clubhouse, the Wine Lounges in Portland and Lake Oswego, and a body of recognition that now includes over two hundred Wine Spectator scores of ninety points or higher.

What makes the risk profile distinctive is not any single line of exposure. It is how many lines live inside one operation. Agriculture — hundreds of acres of hand-harvested, LIVE-certified vineyard. Production — a Pinot Noir gravity-flow winery and a dedicated white and sparkling wine winery. Hospitality — the Clubhouse, built with old-world construction techniques to match the legacy of Burgundy's greatest estates, alongside member dinners, touring events, and two retail lounges. Liquor. International operations at Château de la Crée, Domaine Evenstad, and Maison Evenstad in Burgundy. And the high-value property that moves between all of it.

An operation of this shape deserves a broker who can hold all of those exposures inside a single program — one who understands what smoke taint actually costs, what a guest incident at the Clubhouse actually involves, what transit between Oregon and Burgundy actually requires, and who thinks about the program in decades rather than renewals.

Team Haugen has spent the weeks since this pitch was assembled mapping that operational landscape to the carrier landscape. We are ready to discuss what a tailored program could look like.

Coverage

What This Partnership Looks Like

Team Haugen builds programs, not policy stacks. For an operation as multi-disciplinary as Domaine Serene, that means a single coordinated approach spanning agriculture, production, hospitality, liquor, international, and high-value property — a program built for legacy brands that need more than generic coverage.

The Estate

Hundreds of acres of hand-harvested vineyard across seven estates. A Pinot Noir gravity-flow winery and a dedicated white and sparkling wine winery, each full of production equipment with replacement values that do not forgive shortcuts. Wildfire risk and smoke taint. Crop and harvest exposure. This is a risk profile that begins in the soil and has to be underwritten vintage by vintage.

The Hospitality

The Clubhouse. The Wine Lounges in Portland and Lake Oswego. L'Ambassadeur and Gold Eagle member dinners. Pinot in the City and the touring event calendar. A program built around this scale has to hold liquor liability under Oregon law, guest and event liability, and employment practices coverage for a hospitality workforce that lives between the vineyard and the tasting room.

The International Reach

Château de la Crée. Domaine Evenstad. Maison Evenstad. Operations in Burgundy are not a footnote to the Oregon business — they are a second geography with their own liability regime, their own transit corridor, and their own program coordination requirements. A broker handling this account has to hold both jurisdictions inside one conversation.

Specific limits, deductibles, and target carriers belong in the conversation this page is meant to open, not on the page itself. What we are offering here is the introduction — the posture of a broker who has already read the operation and is ready to sit down.

The Right Fit

Why HUB Northwest

Domaine Serene deserves a broker who can hold the whole operation inside one program.

Regional Knowledge

HUB International Northwest is based in the same region — we understand Willamette Valley agriculture, wildfire risk, Oregon liquor laws, and the wine industry ecosystem.

Multi-Discipline Specialty

Domaine Serene isn't a single-storefront winery. They need a broker who can handle agricultural, hospitality, liquor, international, and high-value property — all at once. That's our specialty.

Market Access at Scale

HUB is one of the largest commercial insurance brokerages in North America — Domaine Serene deserves a team with that kind of market access.

Long-Horizon Thinking

A 35-year-old legacy brand needs a broker who thinks in decades, not renewals.

Your Team

Your Account Team

An account with seven vineyards, two wineries, hospitality across multiple jurisdictions, and operations in Burgundy does not get staffed by the local team alone. It gets staffed by Team Haugen in Eugene alongside the HUB national specialty leaders who own these segments — a deliberate composition, matched to the scope of the program.
